LEARNING ON CAPILLAR GREFF

What are Capillary Transplantation?

Hair graft is a surgical technique that partially or completely reconstructs or completely densifies the hair, the beard or the eyebrows.

Understanding the differences: Method FUE vs. FUT method

In the field of hair transplantation, two techniques stand out: the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and the Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), each aimed at restoring the hair but differing in its approach and its results.

FUE method

Less invasive, the FUE technique promotes rapid recovery. During this procedure, the capillary follicles are extracted individually from the donor zone, often located at the rear of the head, using a specialized instrument. These follicles are then implanted in the depleted zone. Its main advantage is the absence of linear scars, which makes it ideal for those who prefer to wear short hair. Oedema may occur in the grafted area 24 to 48 hours after surgery but resolves within 3 to 4 days. Small crusts form on each follicular unit within 2 to 3 days and fall within about 5 to 7 days.

FUT method

In contrast, FUT consists in taking a strip of scalp from the donor area. The follicular units are then separated under a microscope and transplanted into areas requiring restoration. This method can leave a linear scar but makes it possible to harvest more grafts in one session, particularly suitable for cases of more severe hair loss. It is carried out under local anaesthesia.

Each method has its own advantages and adapts to different needs and preferences. Our medical team, with its experience, will help you understand the specificities of each technique and choose the solution best suited to your aesthetic and functional objectives.

The benfits of hair graft

Hair graft has developed over the years as a robust solution against hair loss, combining technical innovation and clinical expertise to restore people’s confidence and scalp. The following are some notable benefits of this intervention:

A natural result

The regrowth of the hair, following the meticulous implantation of the follicles, appears natural. The density, direction and texture of the new hair harmonize perfectly with existing hair, offering an undetectable appearance.

A sustainable solution

Capillary transplantation offers long-term results. Transplanted hair, resistant to baldness by nature, maintains its growth over the long term, unlike temporary solutions.

Minimally invasive techniques

Modern methods, such as FUE and FUT, reduce invasiveness while optimising efficiency. These specific interventions promote shorter recovery periods for patients.

Improved self-esteem

Beyond physical improvement, hair transplant plays a crucial role in restoring self-esteem, enabling individuals to overcome the psychological barriers associated with hair loss.

No heavy consequences or specific care

Post-intervention, transplanted hair does not require any special care or product. They behave like natural hair, which can be washed, capped and cut normally.

Adaptability

Hair transplant adapts to different needs and expectations, whether it is treating specifically sparse areas or more extensive pattern baldness.

At the Dr Djoon clinic, our commitment is to implement our expertise accurately and carefully, ensuring that these benefits translate into visible and satisfactory results for our patients.
